A local blogger, the Squeaky Wheel, founder of PINS (Petaluma Informed Neighbors), was lamenting the fact that one of his blogging sites was not being responsive to his need for additional information so that he might improve the readership coverage of his blog that was devoted to making the public more aware of vandalism, graffiti, and abandoned property in Petaluma. In desperation, he posted messages that identified the various sites where his neighborhood action campaign was publicized:

Over seven months ago, an alternative community web site called OPEN (Our Petaluma Electronic Network) was launched. Its focus was local action groups (community-wide and neighborhood-centered) that wanted a free, independent, and reliable site on which to share their community-benefit projects and announcements. Sadly, however, hardly anyone used it - until September 22, two days ago, when Frank Simpson stepped up to the plate and posted his "Shopping Cart Blues - Is there away out?"

As a follow-up to his concern, the purpose of this particular post is to inform Petaluma360 readers (and bloggers) of this other Petaluma-based site, devoted to local neighborhood and community-centered issues, concerns, and needs.
