Dear Editor:

“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” from a concerned citizen, a blogger, and a Cybernaut to the Argus-Courier for its coverage of the 1906 S.F. Earthquake and preparedness articles in Wednesday’s edition.

The “concerned citizen” appreciated the coverage regarding what one should do in the event of a severe disaster and how a neighborhood can organize itself to help one another. The “blogger” appreciated the historical information about what happened in 1906, because he can use it in his Then & Now blog. The Cybernaut is pleased to see how the print forms of “information & communication” have adopted telecommunication and computer technology in order to reach out to members of the community.

When such a disaster hits Petaluma, again, there is no doubt in my mind that our citizenry will band together, as needed, and manage to assist one another. Again, my thanks to the reporters who wrote these articles: Yovanna Bieberich, Dan Johnson, Cory Young, and Dane Golden; plus photographer Terry Hankins.

P.S. This letter has been posted to this blog for those viewers who no longer go to the printed versions of local newspapers, but prefer the electronic format instead. Stay tuned for more unique ways to utilize ICT.
